Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, University Of Delhi celebrated its Founder’s Day on 8th November 2019 on the eve of the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The college was founded in the year 1973. It was earlier known as Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Evening College, and later it was changed to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College and turned into a full-day morning college. The college has been given Minority Status and is under the management of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
On 8th November 2019, the Founder’s Day was celebrated and a series of religious functions took place. Students of Khalsa School and Aprampaar – The Divnity Society of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College— both gave kirtan performances. These were followed by kirtan by ex-students of the college and by Bhai Manpreet Singh Ji Kanpuri. The kirtan was followed by Ardaas and Bhog after which Langar was distributed to all. Paramjit Singh Rana Ji, member of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Committee also attended the event to take the blessings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
