Generation gap adding colors to society

CAMPUS BULETIN EDITORIAL

DU held a wall painting competition on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Many students form different colleges and departments took part in it and wrote their slogans broadly to express their pertinence with Gandhi’s thoughts.

Now onward as you walk from Vishwavidyalaya metro station to art faculty campus you will be tailgated by many wonderful graffiti. A sum of 28 teams participated in this
competition and the winner team was of Indraprastha College , first runner up team
was from Department of education and second runner up team was of Daulat Ram
College.

9 other teams that are LSR, Ramjas, Law centre 1, zoology department, Kalindi college, Aryabhatta College, DUWA, Shivaji College, PGDAV college bagged consolation prize.

LSR participants made Gandhi’s spectacles and on one side was a portrait of Gandhi, on the other side a rainbow, signifying LGBTQ community. Whereas student of Du’s education department were inspired by similar thoughts likr LSR and students of Lakshmi Bai College focused on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.

This competition showcased how young generations thinking is different to the
older ones but they respect everyone’s perspective.
