Delhi University is all set to diminish the number of times applicants applying to the university can change the courses or colleges during the admission process. The new regulation will be enforced from DU Admission 2019 application process from this academic year onwards. According to sources, the instructions made by DU College Principals to the committee for undergraduate admissions of the university.
As per the official notification, Delhi University will start the admission process by April 15, 2019, for 2019-20, and complete the application process by May 7, 2019. This is almost earlier as compared to last year when Delhi University had started the admissions in May.
The university also introduced a few more changes in the admission process which are mentioned which are as follows:
Earlier aspirants shifting streams faced a 5% slack in their best of 4 averages, now it’s reduced the slack to 2%. Also, the admission process for the Sports and ECA quota will be held separately. The admissions to aspirants under this section will begin on May 20, 2019.
Delhi University conducts admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes every year. Aspirants who seek admissions to the undergraduate programmes have to enter their best of 4 marks while filling the application form. The University of Delhi releases close to 11 cutoffs every year for the admission to the 86 colleges affiliated to the university.
Apart from Jesus and Mary College and St. Stephens College, all the colleges affiliated to the university have a common admission process.
