Delhi University has released the DU third cutoff 2019 for the admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered at the different colleges of the university. There is a slight marginal dip in the percentage for the top courses most of the top colleges of the university. Candidates who have applied for the admission to the various programmes can check the official website to get the cutoffs for the different streams. The release of the third cutoff of DU started with Shaheed Bhagat Singh College which first released the DU third cutoff list 2019 followed by Gargi College and Satyawati college.

According to the DU 2019 third cutoff released, the cut off for B.Com Hons. has reduced to 96.25%. On the other hand, the cut-off B.A. Economic honors for the general category students is now 96.5. The admissions for OBC and SC category, however, have been closed for the programme.

The admission process under the second cut off at the Delhi University concluded on July 6, 2019, and more than 15,000 students were admitted to the different courses offered by the university. Also, around 750 withdrawals were made in the second cutoff and the total number of admissions now stands at 36,850 that is about 60 percent of the total seats available for the merit-based courses offered by the varsity. Furthermore, around 3069 cancellations were made after the release of the second cut off list.

The Delhi University has around 54,000 seats however, the introduction of the EWS category reservation increased the number of seats available in the university to around 60,000. Delhi University has released the cut-offs for the students applying under the EWS Category separately. And many DU colleges are yet to close the admissions under the EWS Category.

It is expected that many of the top colleges and the top courses in the Delhi University will not be having a third cut off list. Top Colleges such as Hindu College saw massive admissions in popular courses such as B.Com (Honours), BA (Honours) Economics and Physical Science courses. The Hindu College Principal had earlier indicated that although the college might have a few seats left for the 3rd Cut off it is unlikely that the college will be releasing a 3rd cut off list for the popular courses.

Some colleges such as Ramjas also saw withdrawals of admission on a massive scale. As many as 200 students cancelled their admission at Ramjas to shift to other colleges to seek admission to their preferred course for the second cutoff. Ramjas has so far filled 850 of the 1400 seats available. Kamla Nehru College on the other closed admission to 845 seats of the total 940 seats available with it.

There is however some good news for the student opting to secure admission at Lady Shri Ram College or LSR as the college is likely to release a 3rd cut off list for popular courses such as B.Com (Honours) and Mathematics (Honours).
