Kabir Singh Movie Review : Shahid Kapoor impresses with his compelling performance

MOVIE REVIEWS, MOVIES
Kabir Singh, director Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s Hindi remake of his Telugu hit Arjun Reddy in Hindi is romance on steroids. After Aashiqui 2, Kabir Singh happens to be that rare story of star-crossed lovers which leaves you moved despite the predictable story and outcome. Kabir, a medical student meets Preeti a fresher to the college and its love at first sight for Kabir. He is besotted with the dainty Preeti, smitten enough to plant a kiss on her cheeks early on without even seeking her permission. Very quickly he declares her as “his girl” to the entire college and takes control of her entire life, transforming into mentor and protector. Kabir undoubtedly is a problematic character reprised and modelled along the film heroes of yore, the kind who would persist and refused to take no

Bharat Movie Review: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif laugh

MOVIE REVIEWS, MOVIES
Salman khan has often explained the rejection of his earlier Eid release, Tubelight, as thus -- the film came out on a festival and people expected to be entertained; instead they left the theatre crying, and the film flopped. As much as a Salman Khan film can flop. That is why Bharat -- despite finding its origins in the heart-wrenching Partition of India, and being linked to it till its climax -- is primarily an entertainer. Some jokes land lightly and dance around you; others hit you in the small of your back with all the subtlety of an express train -- but they are aplenty. Bharat - Salman and director Ali Abbas Zafar tell you from the very first scene -- will make you cry. But it will also give you action, romance, drama and definitely, comedy. Ergo, an Eid blockbuster – ask Salma

Movie Review: ‘De De Pyaar De’ is Random and Trite

MOVIE REVIEWS, MOVIES
De De Pyaar De, directed by Akiv Ali, is co-produced by Luv Ranjan, the director of the Pyaar Ka Punchnaama series and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, who also shares the film’s writing credits. So, in light of that context, it is quite apt that the movie opens with the dialogue, “Where are the strippers?”Ranjan’s movies are the cinematic versions of tone-deaf dudebros who take pride in offending just because they don’t know any better. De De Pyaar De’s screenplay is attributed to two more writers, but the story is Ranjan’s: A 50-year-old divorcee, Ashish (Ajay Devgn), falls in love with a much younger woman, Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh). The story takes a sour turn when Ayesha meets his family. You can probably see that Ranjan thinks it’s an edgy story. The re

No MCU Plans for X-Men or Fantastic Four, fans shocked:-

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is doubling down on his assertion that there are no plans to include the X-Men or Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just set. With a potential merger between Disney and Fox on the horizon, fans are busy imagining ways the MCU might integrate the properties into Phase Four. But Feige’s latest statement on the subject echoes his previous comments that it’s “too soon” to talk about the X-Men and Fantastic Four joining the established Avengers roster. Feige told the Los Angeles Daily News that he won’t start planning anything “until we’re given the word.” Fox shareholders will cast their vote on Disney’s $71.3 billion offer at the end of July, but even then, a merger and rebooted Fantastic Four movie/X-Men universe are still a long way off. “
