Being the available seats filled within the first cut-off most of the popular courses won't be offered in the second phase of the admission in delhi University,even though the first cut off being higher than the previous year's cut off. The drop in the qualifying bar for the few popular courses that will still be open in the second phase will also be marginal. DU has already filled a quarter of the 56,000 seats on offer. There is a forum of students from Kerala which is known by the name “MAITHRY”. Their members recently met Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on complaining about the undergraduate admission process which is in underway. They notified the CM that various colleges such as Hindu College and Ramjas College are necessitating on the need of the Provisional Certificate from the students, in addition to the original 12th mark list which is issued by the Kerala Higher Secondary Education Board. As informed by the students, the kerala board issues a mark sheet which is contemplated as pass certificate. The Kerala Board doesn’t issue a Provisional Certificate. This was considered a record- breaking number as last year around 2000 seats were filled after 1st cut off was released.
