Due to which the higher authorities had asked DU to fulfill vacant seats as soon as possible in 2017. Therefore, DU published around fifteen thousand assistant professor's seats for various fields. All the procedure for submitting application is online which started in May till June. Hindu College which is affiliated with Delhi University circulated a notice to secretary and president of staff association for basically an allegation to the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry build concerns over an appointment in the college's Governing Body (GB). From this move, there is a confusion created by teachers and many of them calling it an "attack on dissent". On June 14, SNP Punj, a chairperson of the college's Governing Body circulated a notice to and Atul Gupta (secretary) and Abhay Ranjan (president). Highlights of DU 2nd Cut-off is that colleges under the University of Delhi like Kirori Mal, SRCC  have announced the 2nd cut-off lists. For BA  Eco (H) SRCC released 98.25% while  97.38% if for B.Com (Hons). This year, there is a little dip of 0.25% from the 1st cut-off. There are few colleges too who released their 2nd cut-off. The online admission process for the2nd cut-off will be conducted from June 25 to June 27. The other colleges under the University of Delhi will announce their cut-off today.
