With 3rd cut-off list in, students rush to off-campus DU colleges

Delhi University’s off-campus colleges saw a flurry of admissions on Tuesday, the first day to apply under the third cut-off list. Most off campus colleges still have seats remaining for the popular courses. Till Tuesday evening, 46,213 students had taken admission for Delhi University’s 62,000 undergraduate seats, leaving only 25% seats vacant. While BCom (Hons) was still available in 40 colleges, students wishing to pursue BA(Hons) in English could apply in 31 colleges. BA(Hons) in Economics was available in 21 colleges and BSc(Hons) in Mathematics in 23 colleges. Rajdhani College on Tuesday saw around 200 students taking admission, mostly in BA and BSc programme and BSc (Hons) in Electronics. Delhi University has released the DU third cutoff 2019 for the admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered at the different colleges of the university. There is a slight marginal dip in the percentage for the top courses most of the top colleges of the university. Candidates who have applied for the admission to the various programmes can check the official website to get the cutoffs for the different streams. Commonwealth Games gold medallist shooter Manu Bhaker has applied to the Delhi University for admission to undergraduate courses under the sports quota, an official said. The 17-year-old, who is multiple ISSF World Cup gold-medal winner and has won Commonwealth and Youth Olympic gold medals, will be eligible for direct admission and can choose the college and course of her choice, he added. Bhaker won the gold medal at the 2018 CWG, Goldcoast, in 10-m air pistol. She has uploaded her Commonwealth Games certificate for admission to the varsity, he said. DU Admissions 2019: Delhi University to Release Admit Card for PG Courses Today

The Delhi University will release the DU PG 2019 admit card today (June 28). The admit card will be uploaded by the University of Delhi on its official website du.ac.in. According to a Careers360 media report, the Delhi University admit card for PG entrance examination was scheduled for June 26. Further, the exam convener Delhi University hasn’t communicated any specific reason behind the delay. The Delhi University will conduct the DU 2019 PG entrance examination from July 3 to July 8. The 2019 DU PG entrance examination will be held in three shifts- morning shift (8.00 am – 10.00 am), afternoon shift (12.00 pm – 2.00 pm), and evening shift (4.00 pm – 6.00 pm).
