A Smartphone App for DU Aspirants launched this year

For DU Aspirants, smartphone App launched on Wednesday which shows information on admission procedure, DU Colleges, and inquiry contacts.

A smartphone application for DU aspirants launched by the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Wednesday that will help them with admission in the varsity. Ajit Vishwakarma, a Mumbai resident has designed this Smartphone app which is called UniStack. The app updates the students about the Cut-offs and it contains information related to colleges, metro maps and also solve all admission-related queries.

After board examinations, Students will now search for the University​ or college to take admissions in this year. Delhi University has started online application form for Admission. Many students also applied for that and selection in DU will be based on merit list. As DU offers many courses and also there are many colleges, therefore students want to know which College is better for study and some information related to registration or admission process too. So, for decline all these confusion and pressure of students, the smartphone application is launched.
State Secretary of Delhi ,Bharat Khatana, ABVP said that as the admission related information comes, we will update the app later. When the cut-offs issued, the subscribers will even be notified.

Last year’s cut-offs, list of DU colleges with  web address and their location and also list of required documents at the admission included in application. This application also has a unique feature that user can access the original website of any particular college of DU that users wants to search. Also it will tell about nearest metro station and hostel facility of the particular college. Administrative department number of the college is also available in the app so that students can directly call to them.

Mahamedhaa Nagar, Delhi University Student’s Union Secretary, said that in the app there are three columns, namely research scholar, postgraduate and undergraduate. Students can quickly choose desired course and information from app rather than downloading 250-300 pages from official DU website. She also said there were plans to launch app across the country by including other State and Central Universities.
